Kid's Party Fun and Games to Play

Having a children's party is hard work with all the organising that needs to be done without having to worry about keeping them entertained during the party as well, here at Party Options are a few ideas and games to play at your children's party.

Balloon Race

Place some cushions on the floor to act as place markers. Then spilt the children into teams of four people or more and give each team a balloon. Then one person from each team stands at each of the cushion markers. The first player from each team starts by holding the balloon between there knees and has to hop to the next person to pass on the balloons (try not to use your hands its more fun). That teammate then hops to the next person and marker and so on. If at any time someone drops or pops the balloon, that team must start over. The first team to complete the course wins.

Musical Chairs
A great traditional game this which also helps to burn off a bit of party energy with some running around. For musical chairs just place one less chair than their are children in a row with one facing forward and one facing backward, get some party music playing with the children running around the chairs until the music is stopped and everyone has to sit down except for one person who can`t get a chair which then means they are out, remove one or two chairs each time and keep going until you get down to the last person who is the winner.

Pop the Balloon

I love this game its one of my favourites. White two sets of numbers on some small pieces of paper put one of each number inside each balloon, then blow them up and tie them off as normal. Then put the second set of numbers into a hat. Every child is then given a balloon to pop, just by sitting on top of it. A number is then drawn from the hat and whoever has the balloon with the matching number inside is the winner.

Pin the Tail on the Donkey

For a slight twist on this classic game and to get great value from a pinata, buy a donkey shaped pinata and then have a game of pin the tale on the donkey using the pinata donkey, don`t forget to fill your pinata with plenty of sweets and goodies before you bash the pinata and why not try it blindfolded, whoever gets the closest gets a prezzie and first bash at the pinata.

Pass the Parcel

This is a classic party game which i`m sure most people have played before where you pass around a parcel that has been wrapped lots of times with a main prize in the very centre but with often sweets or treats in every layer as well. Just keep on passing the parcel around the circle until the music stops and the person holding the parcel at that time then gets to open one layer of the wrapping paper. Just keep going until all the wrapping has gone and someone have won the main prize.
A good tip is to stop the music to make sure every child has had a go at unwrapping the parcel and got a little treat as well.

Shaped Foil Party Balloons

Balloons, balloons, balloons everybody loves balloons and here at Party Options we have hundreds with a lovely range of foil balloons in three different shapes, Heart Shaped Foil Balloons, Star Shaped Foil Balloons and Round Shaped Foil Balloons which also come in a nice choose of 16 colours, Orange, Pastel Pink, Purple,Green, Ivory, Baby Blue, Silver, Gold, black, Burgundy, Hot Pink,White, Red, Royal Blue, Lilac and even Lime Green.
Traditional foil balloons are filled with a gas called helium which is lighter than air so the balloon floats but what people don`t realise is that they can also be filled with air just by blowing them up though a straw, a normal drinking straw will do, its just to get the air past the one way valve to inflate the balloon.
If you are using helium to fill your balloon you will need to tie the balloon off with balloon curling ribbon and add a balloon weight to stop it floating away. If you have just used air to blow it up then you will just need to tie ribbon around the neck to stop the air leaking out of the valve.
The heart and round balloons are a good size at 18 inches across, with the stars a whopping 20 inches across.
Also available in a foil balloon are themed balloons to match all your favorite TV programs and characters.

Creating an Hawaiian Themed Cocktail Party

If its your job to organise the party this year, a great way to create a party everyone will remember is by choosing a certain theme. It is very easy to choose a subject for your party these days with all good party website such as Party Options supplying everything you need to create any number of  themes direct from one website. You can pick a colour based theme, a favourite book or film theme, but by far and away the most popular theme is the Hawaiian luau party which is loved by children and adults alike.
If you are lucky enough to live close to the sea then why not have your party on the beach, what a great setting that would be for an Hawaiian party, otherwise your back garden will be fine at http://www.partyoptions.co.uk/ we have plenty of Hawaiian theme party accessories and decorations for you to choose from.
Why not be innovative with the invites to your Hawaiian themed party. Send them out on cut outs of Hawaiian cocktails or surf boards, plenty of suitable pictures can be found on the Internet to print off. This will get your friends and family in the mood for a great party celebration.
Don`t forget about using some social networking sites like twitter or facebook to keep your party guests informed about the party and general party chit chat.
A good focal point is to have a children's paddling pool filled with ice and then put all the drinks in it so they are nice and chilled. Set up the party foods next to this as well, Another great way to set the scene is with this great 6ft inflatable palm tree. if you have one a surf boards planted in the grass or even next next to the wall looks cool.
Decorations don`t have to be expensive just decorate the place with pineapples, coconuts and sea shells for that great Hawaii feel.

For the food, I offer to have a wide variety of fresh fruit for your guests in order to be able to make fruit kebabs. Serve up bowls with kiwi, pineapples, peaches, mango's, bananas and melons.
As well as the usual sausages, chicken and burgers on the barbecue why not try grilling some fresh fruit? It tastes fantastic especially with fresh cream!
Whats a party without cocktails or even mocktails for friends who don`t drink or have to drive home, try the classics such as the Cosmopolitan, Long Island Iced Tea,Heartbreaker or the Aloha and don`t forget the paper parasols to finished the glasses off.
To start you off here's what yo need for a Long Island Iced Tea..

1 part Vodka
1 part Tequila
1 part White rum
1 part Gin
1 part Triple sec
1 1/2 parts Sour mix
Splash Cola
Mix ingredients together over ice in a glass.
Pour into shaker and give ONE brisk shake.
Pour back into glass and make sure there is a touch of fizz at the top.

Oh Justin Bieber. Not one person has managed to dominated the topics trends on Twitter and Facebook for so long (well maybe Rebbecca Black).
With an army of teenage fans who follow Bieber "Bieber Fever ', the pint-sized pop star has rapidly approached world domination.
Justin was discovered some years ago by the R & B superstar Usher, after the boy approached him in the parking lot and asked if he could play a song for him. The rest, they say, is history.
Known for his floppy fringe and a clean image, Justin has managed to create a succession of pop hits. That is pretty much the perfect combination of Tweenies dreamy and young girls.
Therefore, it is inevitable that some children are dreaming of Justin Bieber parties to celebrate their Birthdays. After all, it is probably the closest they will get to meeting the boy/man himself.
Fortunately here at Party Options, we have a wide range of Justin Bieber party products. So this means that you can eat off the face of Mr Bieber with our wonderful dinner plates, drink from a Bieber cup and Justin Bieber also invite your friends to the party.
You will also find tablecloths, napkins and goody bags, so the children have something at home, too.
Now all you need is a CD of Justin Bieber, and maybe a pair of earplugs for the parents, for when the children begin to scream ...
