Creating an Hawaiian Themed Cocktail Party
If its your job to organise the party this year, a great way to create a party everyone will remember is by choosing a certain theme. It is very easy to choose a subject for your party these days with all good party website such as Party Options supplying everything you need to create any number of themes direct from one website. You can pick a colour based theme, a favourite book or film theme, but by far and away the most popular theme is the Hawaiian luau party which is loved by children and adults alike.
If you are lucky enough to live close to the sea then why not have your party on the beach, what a great setting that would be for an Hawaiian party, otherwise your back garden will be fine at http://www.partyoptions.co.uk/ we have plenty of Hawaiian theme party accessories and decorations for you to choose from.
Why not be innovative with the invites to your Hawaiian themed party. Send them out on cut outs of Hawaiian cocktails or surf boards, plenty of suitable pictures can be found on the Internet to print off. This will get your friends and family in the mood for a great party celebration.
Don`t forget about using some social networking sites like twitter or facebook to keep your party guests informed about the party and general party chit chat.
A good focal point is to have a children's paddling pool filled with ice and then put all the drinks in it so they are nice and chilled. Set up the party foods next to this as well, Another great way to set the scene is with this great 6ft inflatable palm tree. if you have one a surf boards planted in the grass or even next next to the wall looks cool.
Decorations don`t have to be expensive just decorate the place with pineapples, coconuts and sea shells for that great Hawaii feel.
For the food, I offer to have a wide variety of fresh fruit for your guests in order to be able to make fruit kebabs. Serve up bowls with kiwi, pineapples, peaches, mango's, bananas and melons.
As well as the usual sausages, chicken and burgers on the barbecue why not try grilling some fresh fruit? It tastes fantastic especially with fresh cream!
Whats a party without cocktails or even mocktails for friends who don`t drink or have to drive home, try the classics such as the Cosmopolitan, Long Island Iced Tea,Heartbreaker or the Aloha and don`t forget the paper parasols to finished the glasses off.
To start you off here's what yo need for a Long Island Iced Tea..

1 1/2 parts Sour mix
